Our extra-curricular and co-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Driver Training Program
A successful driver training program has been running at Murrumburrah High School since 1988. The program allocates time for learner drivers to receive training through a comprehensive teaching curriculum that aligns with the standards set by NSW Transport.
Farm Club
Murrumburrah High School has established a solid reputation for excellence in agriculture. All students have the chance to participate in the MHS Farm Club, an extracurricular activity focused on managing the school farm and preparing animals for various local and national shows.
Study Sessions
Murrumburrah High School offers after-school study sessions twice a week, providing all students with valuable academic support. These sessions are led by dedicated teachers who generously volunteer their time to assist students with their learning. Whether students need help with specific subjects, homework, or general study skills, these sessions offer a supportive and focused environment to enhance their educational journey. All students are welcome to take advantage of this opportunity for extra assistance and academic growth.
Breakfast Club
Our School Breakfast Club provides a warm and welcoming space for our students when they arrive at school four days a week. Staff help set up our Breakfast Club space and provide students with a variety of breakfast foods.
Boxercise
Our school's sports program offers students the opportunity to participate in gym and fitness training, held onsite at the Murrumburrah High School. These sessions, led by qualified instructors focus on strength, conditioning, and general health improvement, with personalized programs tailored to each student's abilities and goals.
